LUN Partners Group has named veteran investment expert Chua Wee Liang as Venture Partner. With the joining of Mr. Chua, LUN Partners Group aims to strengthen its global investment business, enhance industry expertise, and deepen its presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Chua brings over 27 years of experience in private equity and venture capital investment management across Asia, and is among the earliest professionals engaged in private equity investment in Singapore and China. He has long focused on investments in high-growth sectors, including technology, consumer, and healthcare. Prior to joining LUN Partners Group, Mr. Chua served as Executive Partner at Cowin Capital, a leading Chinese private equity investment firm, where he led the USD fund management business, overseeing two overseas funds, with Singapore sovereign wealth fund, leading financial institutions, and family offices across Asia-Pacific as its Limited Partners.
His extensive career experience includes serving as Head of Global Investment Banking (China) and Greater China Head of Private Equity at OCBC Bank; General Manager at OCBC Capital (Shanghai), a QFLP Fund; Vice President of Private Equity and China Chief Representative at DBS Bank Group; Founding General Manager at DBS Private Equity Enterprise; and Founding General Manager at SCGC-UOB Venture Management Co, Ltd, the manager of the first Sino-foreign joint venture investment fund in China, jointly established by United Overseas Bank and Shenzhen Capital Group.
Mr. Chua holds a First-Class Honors Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Surrey, UK, and an EMBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School.
