LUN Partners Group today announced the appointment of Mr. Gerald Yeung as Partner and CEO of LUN Partners Asset Management Hong Kong. Mr. Yeung joins LUN Partners following 20 years with J.P. Morgan, where he has held several key positions, including the CAO of J.P. Morgan Asset Management Taiwan, Executive Director and Head of Asia Product Development, Head of China Strategy at J.P. Morgan Asset Management Hong Kong, and Managing Director and CEO of China International Fund Management (CIFM) Asset Management Hong Kong. In his new role, Mr. Yeung is expected to strengthen LUN Partners Group’s presence in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, accelerate the development of a global and diversified asset management business, facilitate synergy and innovation within the LUN Partners Group ecosystem, and further aid Chinese enterprises in their global expansion efforts by connecting overseas resources.
Mr. Yeung brings profound expertise and over 30 years of extensive experience in asset management and family offices, with a professional footprint spanning the United States, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Throughout his tenure at J.P. Morgan, Mr. Yeung led the firm’s business development in the Greater China region, encompassing both institutional and retail businesses, product development, risk control, and corporate governance. He was instrumental in establishing subsidiaries and applying for QFI (QFII and RQFII), QDII, QDLP qualifications and operations. As a licensed Responsible Officer (HK SFC RO), he also established and managed a licensed asset management company in Hong Kong. Prior to that, Mr. Yeung held senior leadership positions at Citigroup Asset Management (New York), Jardine Fleming Investment Management (now J.P. Morgan Asset Management (Hong Kong), and PricewaterhouseCoopers (New York and Hong Kong). Mr. Yeung is a licensed HK SFC RO, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the United States, and a Hong Kong Certified Public Accountant (HKICPA).
